**DAY TOURS
Day tours are
regularly scheduled at New Germany State Park in
Western Maryland. New Germany is the closest park to
Washington and Baltimore with a history of consistent
snow cover. The park is a 2 to 3 hour drive from the
beltways of the two cities on interstate highways.
|
Trips are scheduled on
Saturday and Sundays from the third weekend in January through
the second weekend of March as well as on the President's
holiday Monday in February. Groups of eight or more can
schedule a trip any day of the week.
Our experienced instructors and
tour guides will help you navigate the 9 beginner and
intermediate trails in the park. Most trails are about two
miles long, winding beside streams, over wooden bridges and
through Western Maryland's pine and hardwood forest. A cozy
lodge provides a comfortable stop where skiers enjoy a hot and
tasty lunch by a roaring fire. Due to proximity and beautiful
scenery our day and overnight excursions to New Germany have
kept folks coming back again and again!
