Starting just before dusk at River and Trail
You'll climb into our van.
We'll travel through the old haunted
town
on the way to the pale-lit trail
You'll be quizzed on Blair Witch trivia
keeping ears open for ghostly wails.
Up South Mountain we'll take you
near the world-renowned Appalachian Trail
With a map & flashlight we'll lead you
hoping that neither will fail.
Past rock pyramids & moss-laden
stick figures
we hope to pass unharmed.
Just in case we'll breathe a spell
trying the spirits to charm.
On natural facts about the woods
& its creatures
our guide will fill you in
As well as to tell you what to do
if you're lost in the forest while campin'.
Then back we'll trek through the
ghostly woods
Twigs crackling and the air alive with night sounds
We hope you'll make it to the van
Or at least by the search party be found.
We'll end the night in a clearing
where tall trees & shadows abound
Crouched next to a small crackling fire
telling local tales to make your heart pound.
(While eating smores all around)
