Biking tours and clinics take place on the C & O Canal, ( near Harpers
Ferry, West Virginia ) the 185 mile path bordering the Potomac River from
Georgetown to Cumberland. The scenery along this gentle terrain, tree-lined
path is fantastic, and there is ample room for cruising while good riverside
picnic spots abound. Shady biking conditions and wading locations along the
Potomac River make this trip a great option for those hot summer days. In the
fall this tree-lined trail becomes radiant with the colors of changing
leaves..

Bike along the
"most scenic section of the C&O Canal" from Brunswick, MD, to Harpers
Ferry, WV. This trip can accommodate those looking for a relaxing nature
filled bike tour or a rigorous workout. Ample parking is available on
weekends at the MARC Train Station located next to our bike rental
shop. When you arrive at Harpers Ferry, bikers then lock their
bikes to the rack and walk the pedestrian bridge across the Potomac river into
the town. Spend time exploring the museums and stores. Chose from
wonderful picnic spots or dine at one of the local restaurants or ice
cream shops. Afterwards you may chose to add a few extra miles to your
trip by continuing to bike up river or hike the Maryland Heights Trail for a
spectacular view of the Shenandaoh and Potomac confluence. Our
Brunswick bike rental location offers many options for all ages and ability
levels. We also rent childrens trailers for toddlers, tag-a-long bikes
for 4-8 year olds and kids bikes. Our staff can help you plan the perfect
bike trip for you and your family or group.
