Welcome to the Acupuncture Practice of Natasha
Baihly, practicing in Laurel and Silver Spring,
MD.
I am a third year student and clinical intern in
the master degree program for acupuncture at the
Tai Sophia Institute. For over fifteen years, I
have also been working in the outdoor industry,
promoting health and a re-connection with the
natural environment. I became interested in this
medicine when I developed a skin condition while
living abroad in France. After trying many
traditional methods that didn’t work, my cure
was found by undergoing treatment with a Chinese
Medical practitioner.
The type of acupuncture I practice is Five
Element, which emphasizes treating the causes of
an illness, rather than only alleviating
symptoms. Relying on natural laws, it recognizes
that the health of your entire body, mind and
spirit must be taken into account in order to
fully diagnose the cause of an illness. Only
then can the most effective help be offered so
that you can regain your balance and health on
all levels.
Due to its relatively low cost and non-invasive
technique, acupuncture has grown in popularity
in the United States, not only for managing
disease, but also as a way to maintain good
health.
