 In 2008 River and Trail
Outfitters added the blue heron grill to their operation. The Blue Heron
Grill's standard menu offers barbecue, burgers, an assortment of hot and cold
sandwiches and sides and the best marinated hot dogs you'll ever have. The
grill's kitchen contains among other things a smoker, wood fired grill, cook
top, and a flat top. Our chef staff has years of varied experience, ranging
from traditional country dishes to haute cuisine. You can choose from our
standard fare or customize a menu for your group to make your visit with River
and Trail complete and memorable.
The Grill is located at our Millville property on the
Shenandoah River. From this location, you can enjoy a mellow
Shenandoah tube
trip and paddle around our
canoes and kayaks.
Before or after your fun time on the water, enjoy a picnic near the river from
our Standard Menu(same link as below). We recommend groups of 10 or more
pre-order for their convenience. Groups of 15 or more can also choose from our
picnic options for
groups.

At the Blue Heron Grill we make an effort to use beef,
chickens, and pork that are raised locally and/or are antibiotic and hormone
free. These sustainable choices help to maintain cleaner rivers and healthier
bodies. In addition, we partner with local farmers to get fresh vegetables or
fruits when in season. |

Primitive camping is also available at Millville for
$18/tent for first 2 people. Train tracks nearby provide midnight lullabies.

If you are interested in grass-fed and/or local meats: cows,
chickens, and pigs can be ordered from Back Creek Bend Farm, our affiliate
family farm in Hedgesville, WV. Call John at 304-582-9357.
The Blue Heron Grill offers full service
custom catering, for two people or 1000's. Choosing from chips and dips and
burgers and dogs, to canapés and hors d'oeuvres and a multi-course sit
down meal, our chef staff will work with you to create a delicious menu that
fits your budget and pleases your guests. Food can be served at a location of
your choosing or at our location in Millville, West Virginia.
The Blue Heron Grill's location by the
Shenandoah in Millville, WV offers an unique setting for Family Reunions,
Wedding Receptions, Birthday Parties, Office Parties or any other event where
great food and river sports combine to make your event one to be remembered. In
addition to being served a great meal; your party can tube, canoe, kayak, raft,
bring a fishing pole or just enjoy looking at and listening to the river.
