Paw Paw Bends - Epic Canoe & Gourmet Weekend

Spend two nights camping, 1½ days of paddling among
beautiful fall foliage and enjoy several gourmet meals on our Fall Colors
Gourmet Food Canoe/Kayak Weekend.
This is one of the most beautiful fall river journeys in North America. The paddle by Canoe or Kayak
follows the Potomac River through the Paw Paw Bends and alongside the Green
Ridge State Forest in Western Maryland. Francis Zumbrun, a 30-year veteran
forester with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, calls this region
"One of Maryland's last great forested frontiers," with more varieties of trees
than the entire continent of Europe. Paddlers can join us on this fantastic weekend or plan their own trip with us during the fall foliage season.
Those of you who join us will enjoy gourmet food carefully prepared by our
chef. Meals will feature fresh, local produce and meats. You may
assist in the riverside food preparation and learn new skills or recipes, or
just relax and enjoy a drink while the food is prepared. Our staff will bring
some of their favorite wines and beers to share, and we encourage you to do so
also. Please let us know if you are a vegetarian and inform us of any
food allergies so we can plan our menu.
