River & Trail Outfitters Uncorks Fun Flavorful Paddle
and Wine Tasting Tours in Northern Virginia’s Wine
Country” with a Concert to Boot!
River & Trail Outfitters offers outdoor enthusiasts with a thirst for
wine and music the ultimate fun multi-adventure day of kayaking or
canoeing on the Potomac River, followed by wine tasting and live
music at Loudoun County Virginia’s top-rated Tarara Winery.
River & Trail Outfitters has teamed up with
Tarara Winery, named “Best
Winery in Loudoun County” for eight consecutive years, to create the
ultimate fun multi-adventure day for outdoor enthusiasts with a thirst
for paddling and performing.
The stress-busting triathlon of sensory goodness kicks off with a
guided 4.5-to-7 mile mellow kayaking or canoeing tour down the
gently flowing Potomac River, known for its wealth of wildlife and
water birds, such as Blue Herons, Wild Ducks, and an occasional
Bald Eagle spotting. Upon arriving at the winery near Leesburg,
Virginia, which parallels the Potomac, Paddle, Wine & Concert invigorated paddlers chill out by the concert stage enjoying
including artisan cheeses, and a glass of wine of their choice during a festive concert.
The day wraps up on the winery’s meticulously manicured 475-
acre farm savoring live music under the starry night.
Folks participating in the Paddle & Wine Tour will enjoy local
artisan cheese plate and a wine tasting, highlighting the area’s best.
Offering a duo of options, on weekends May through October,
paddlers can choose a Sunday paddle and wine tour that starts at
11:00 am, or Saturday paddle, wine and concert trip that begins
at 2:30pm. The live music jams from 6:00-9:30 pm. Wine and food
is available for purchase and Tarara Winery extends River & Trail
guests a 5% discount for purchases of 3-11 bottles and 15% off for
purchases of a case (12 bottles) or more. Private tours are available
for groups.
“We wanted to create a fun, relaxing trip that let’s people unplug
while enjoying the serene natural beauty and the delicious wines
being crafted from the surrounding land” says Natasha Baihly, who
runs River & Trail Outfitters with her father Lee Baihly and other
family members.
No prior paddling experience needed, guide/interpreter, gear, choice

"I wanted to thank you all for another great
trip. This was our second year using River & Trail and once again it was a
pleasant experience. Our staff could not say enough about what a good time they
had and how smooth the trip went. I tell everyone about our trip and about R
&T, and you should all be very proud of your organization. It is something
we will be doing again!" Sheila Woodling, Wilmer Optical |
