At the tasting room

End your journey at Pathfinder’s  tasting room, a historic log home in Boonsboro, MD (founded in 1792).  You’ll relax in this friendly haven, savoring your choice of six of their current crafted spirits, while tasting from a charcuterie platter. Whether it’s a romantic outing, a friends’ day out, or a group adventure, this trip promises an unforgettable experience. 🌿🍷🛶

Description of trip and Spirit experience: 

You will enjoy a mellow 6-mile guided kayaking or canoeing tour along the Potomac River. At the end of the trip, you will be shuttled back to the Brunswick Family Campground to change, freshen up, and then drive over to  the Pathfinder Farm Distillery tasting room & cocktail bar (a 25 minute drive).

Antietam National Battlefield is 12 minutes away and features the lovely Burnside Bridge.  Prolific writer Nora Roberts historic, Inn Boonsboro, offers themed rooms featuring famous couples from literature.  Lovely bed & breakfasts  are also available in the Sharpsburg area.  

This trip is the perfect outing for couples looking for a weekend date, friends wanting to spend some time reconnecting, or groups in search of a fun day out!

      Add 5% amusement fee + $3.00 user fee/person
  • For the river trip: Be sure and bring a sack lunch/snack in a waterproof, compressible bag, and plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated.

Water & Spirits Itinerary

9:30 am Check-in at the Brunswick Family Campground

10:00 am Trip talk and departure from the river landing

12 pm  Take out at Point of Rocks and get shuttle transport back to Brunswick 

12:30 pm Arrive at Brunswick Family Campground, change into dry clothes, drive over to Pathfinder Farm Distillery for a tasting.

1 pm  Arrive at Pathfinder Farm Distillery for tasting and a charcuterie box.

Enjoy another paddle on the Potomac River, but this time experience mellow waters mixed with wavy rapid fun! After your trip, head to Big Cork Winery which feature amazing white wines and a facility worthy of Napa Valley. Dates are limited so reserve as soon as possible!
