As a Harpers Ferry native, Mariah Baihly enjoys exploring and appreciating the natural beauty of West Virginia. Mariah began working in the outdoor industry as a kid, helping to facilitate climbers on a self-belay climbing wall! Mariah is an avid outdoor enthusiast, she loves whitewater rafting, kayaking, paddle boarding, hiking, and camping. Additionally, she teaches adaptive skiing, reflecting her commitment to inclusive outdoor recreation.
With a strong background in education, Mariah is passionate about teaching Leave No Trace principles and educating others about factors that influence the Chesapeake Bay Watershed. She successfully acquired grants for river staff to receive their ACA certifications and further their teaching skills.
Mariah is gifted at creating content for social media and informative blogs for river and trail enthusiasts! As the marketing director for River & Trail Outfitters, she is a master of organization and an effective communicator, managing budgets and various creative projects with ease and expertise. Her love for the outdoors is matched by her dedication to providing others with enriching and memorable outdoor experiences.
