First timers never fear, your guides are here! Experienced guides will paddle with you and help you navigate the twists and turns of this breathtaking and peaceful 5.5 mile stretch. Kayaking this beginner whitewater stretch includes mellow water interspersed with three sets of rapids.
Big Cork Vineyards
You’ll land your boats at the Brunswick Family Campground where you will have the opportunity to change before you caravan along with your guide and fellow paddlers to Big Cork Vineyards. Nestled on 100 rolling acres, surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains, you’ll feel like you’ve walked into Napa Valley when you visit their 10,000 square foot tasting room with cloud-like ceilings and sleek interior design.
Quench your thirst with a wine tasting featuring six of their delectable wines. Satisfy your appetite with a wine tasting tour and cheese plate featuring three cheeses, baguette, dried fruits, and nuts. Afterwards, soak in the peaceful scenery and live music, and put your feet up with a purchased bottle of wine.
Check out this fun-filled video which shows the kayaking portion of the trip!
*Only single kayaks available to rent on this trip as the put-in requires carrying the boats down a steep gravel hill. Shoes with good traction are required! Flip flops are not permitted.
