River & Trail Outfitters now offers a two day Wilderness and Remote First Aid course near Harpers Ferry, WV. This American Red Cross Wilderness First Aid course, taught by certified instructors, is a sixteen-hour course designed to give you the skills you need to respond to situations when help is delayed or not readily available. Course participants must be at least 14 years of age and possess current certification in Adult Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation/Automated External Defibrillator (CPR/AED). Class will be held both days from 9am to 5pm.Topics covered will include:

This course is based on the Boy Scouts of America’s “Wilderness First Aid Curriculum and Doctrine Guidelines” and has been reviewed and/or supported by the American Camp Association, American Canoe Association, National Recreation and Park Association, and JCC Association.

We will be outdoors most class hours so please prepare for the elements of nature. However, during bad weather days we reserve the right to remain in the classroom for your safety.
Groups of 10 or more may request a date.
Price: $200.00 for public and $150.00 for scouts and other non profits and groups of 8 or more

Directions: Please report to the Brunswick Family Campground at 8:30am for check-in.
The closest mapable address is: 100 S. Maple Ave Brunswick, MD 21716. This address will take you to a railroad parking lot. Once you are at this MARC train station parking area, go over 2 sets of railroad tracks and down a mini-hill to the stop sign (t-intersection). Turn left onto the gravel road and continue about 3/4 mile(this is the C&O Canal). Campground is on the right.
